How to check a supplier before advance payment

2026-06-05

Advance payment to a new supplier is one of the most common risk points. Before payment, the counterparty may look convincing: proposal, manager, website, stamps, fast replies and a discount for urgency.

The key question is whether the supplier has real operating substance. Company records, litigation, connected entities, owners, directors, address, contact traces and bank details all matter.

Business logic is equally important. A recently created company with no history but attractive large-volume terms is not proof of fraud, but it is a strong reason for review.

HEIMDALL reviews the full risk perimeter: documents, website, relationship map, reputation, contact overlaps, payment route and shell-company indicators.

The purpose is simple: decide whether to pay now, change terms, request evidence or stop the transaction.
